Painting Through My Emotions
These self portraits reflect emotions that are hard to put to words and even images. Color, texture, and abstraction lead the narrative while tying their themes to human connection quite literally and figuratively.

How I Painted Through My Despair
I made this painting I call, “The Black Dog”, for the MADE Foundation Art Show with their prompt “Render”. Since the 30 day span to complete this painting was during the month of September, I decided to paint about the emotional hardship that I experience for that particular month. September is full of memories of gain, loss, and confusion for me and I wanted to paint something that could help me express those emotions and shed light to the mental and emotional side to an artist’s process. Please enjoy this video that shows how I made this watercolor painting.
